RSS Feeds
PsychiatryOnline Journals make citations and abstracts for current and recent issues available for free through RSS (also called Really Simple Syndication). RSS files are a type of XML (similar to HTML used in web pages, but more sophisticated) in which each piece of data (article title, abstract, etc.) is specially coded to tell a computer what to do with it. Essentially, RSS is a quick and easy way for us to syndicate news of our articles and offer quick links back to the full text.
To grab our RSS feeds, first you’ll need to install a software program known as an RSS reader, or aggregator (click here to see a few choices, some of which can be downloaded for free), which can read these XML-coded files and deliver news of our journal content to you. The RSS reader you choose will give you more specific instructions on how to add our feeds.
The following RSS feeds are available for PsychiatryOnline Journals (click on the orange “XML” button to access the XML-coded file). "Current Issue Only" provides citations and abstracts for the current issue; "Recent Issues" provides citations and abstracts for the 3 most recent issues, including the current issue.
